Terms of use
File Preflight provides planning calculators and educational information. The results are estimates, not production guarantees.
Use of the tools
You may use the calculators and file tools for personal or commercial project planning. You remain responsible for confirming final dimensions, materials, tolerances, shipping rules and supplier specifications before purchasing or producing anything.
Accuracy and limitations
We work to keep formulas and explanations accurate, but printing processes, platform rules, carrier divisors and material specifications change and vary by supplier. Conversion tools state what they preserve and what they do not; those statements are part of the product, and outputs should be reviewed before replacing any production file. Automated checks cover the arithmetic and packaging of sample cases — they are not a certification of your documents.
No professional advice
Nothing on this site constitutes legal, financial, engineering or print-production advice for a specific job. For regulated or high-value work, rely on the specifications of the supplier responsible for production and on qualified professionals.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, File Preflight is not liable for damages arising from the use of its tools, guides or generated files.
Intellectual property
The File Preflight interface, editorial text and original calculator implementation may not be republished as a competing site. Individual calculated results, and files you create with the tools, are yours to use freely.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the service, automate abusive traffic, misrepresent the site, or use it in a way that violates applicable law. Only process files you own or are authorized to transform, including respect for copyright and digital rights management restrictions.
Third-party services
The site links to external references and may use third-party analytics and advertising providers when enabled. Those services operate under their own terms, which we encourage you to review.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means the revised terms apply.
