Worked example
A 3.5 × 2 in card with 0.125 in bleed needs a 3.75 × 2.25 in artwork file.

- Bleed extends background artwork beyond the final cut line.
- Keep important text inside the printer's safe area; bleed is not a safe margin.
- Use your printer's specification when it differs from a preset.
