How it works

A useful result,
without the upload.

Convert a modern Word DOCX file into a clean printable view and save it as PDF, with document contents processed locally in your browser. The file is decoded and processed inside this browser tab, so File Preflight never receives its contents.

LOCAL METHODRead DOCX structure locally → convert semantic content to HTML → browser Save as PDF

Worked example

Open a DOCX report as an A4 print preview, inspect the page breaks, then save the result as a PDF.

Before you send the file

  • This tool supports modern .docx files, not the older binary .doc format.
  • Headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and many images are retained; complex text boxes, tracked changes and exact Word pagination can change.
  • For a pixel-perfect legal or production master, export from Microsoft Word or LibreOffice and compare the final pages.

Frequently asked questions

Is my Word document uploaded?

No. The DOCX archive is opened and converted inside the current browser tab.

Why can the PDF look different from Word?

Word is a layout application with fonts, fields and page rules that browsers do not reproduce exactly. This converter prioritizes readable document structure, then uses the browser print engine for pagination.

Does it support old .doc files?

No. The legacy .doc format is a different binary format. Open it in Word or LibreOffice and save a .docx copy first.

File handling note

Keep an untouched original and inspect the downloaded file before replacing any production asset. Closing this tab removes the selected files from the tool.
