How to use the TXT to PDF Converter
- Choose a UTF-8 text file to upload or drop it into the tool.
- Enter a document title (optional) and select PDF page size.
- Choose a text size (10 pt, 11.5 pt or 13 pt).
- Click "Open printable PDF view" to open the browser print dialog.
- In the print dialog, select "Save as PDF" as the destination.
- Review the pages and click "Save" to download your PDF.
What happens under the hood
This tool reads UTF-8 text locally and formats it with CSS for printing. It creates a clean, readable layout with proper line wrapping and page breaks. The browser's print engine then paginates the content and provides the Save as PDF option, all processing happening locally in your browser without uploading your text.

- Plain text does not include fonts, headings, images or page-layout instructions.
- Review long lines, page breaks and code indentation in the print preview before saving.
Frequently asked questions
Can I choose A4 or US Letter?
Yes. Choose the paper size and one of three readable text sizes before opening the print preview.
Does this preserve line breaks?
Yes. Existing spaces and line breaks are preserved in the printable view, although the browser will wrap lines that exceed the page width.
Does File Preflight store the text?
No. The file is read locally and disappears from the tool when you close or refresh the tab.
Keep an untouched original and inspect the downloaded file before replacing any production asset. Closing this tab removes the selected files from the tool.
